While previous generations were based on the Transporter, the T7 is built on the long version of the Volkswagen Multivan—a completely new platform that takes the California to the next level in terms of comfort, technology, and safety.

What makes the T7 different?

The T7 is based on the MQB platform, the same platform used for Volkswagen passenger cars. This is immediately noticeable: the T7 is more refined, quieter, and more comfortable than its predecessors, with significantly more insulation and a modern, luxurious feel behind the wheel. Thanks to the Multivan base, there is also more space in the living area, while the camper remains low enough for most parking garages thanks to the pop-up roof. New features include two sliding doors for extra flexibility, a mains power socket, and mounting points for an awning.
